Oleuropein is found in Olive Oil and in the fruit, the Olive,
but it is especially concentrated in the Olive Leaves.

 

The olive leaf: an effective antioxidant which helps:

Substances in olive leaves

The primary medically relevant substances in unprocessed Olive Leaves
are the Antioxidants Oleuropein and Hydroxytryrosol. In addition, the Leaves contain other Polyphenoles and Flavanoides including Oleocanthal.

 

Oleuropein

One of the most important Substances of the Olive tree is Oleuropein which has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. This bitter substance is even responsible for the high resistance of the olive tree.
